Use lucida to download audio from streaming platforms.

What is Lucida?

Lucida is a web-based tool that downloads audio from streaming platforms directly in the browser. No software to install, no account required on Lucida itself — you paste a link, it downloads the file.

Quality depends on the source platform. Amazon Music and Tidal both offer lossless and hi-res options, making them the best sources for archival-quality audio.

Preferred workflow: Amazon Music

Amazon Music is the preferred source — hi-res lossless is widely available and the download success rate is reliable.

  1. Search for the album on Amazon Music
  2. Open the album page and copy the URL from the address bar
  3. Paste it into lucida.to
  4. Select the quality (choose Hi-Res Lossless when available)
  5. Download

Secondary: Tidal

Use Tidal when an album isn't on Amazon Music or when you need a specific master.

  1. Search for the album on Tidal
  2. Open the album and copy the URL
  3. Paste it into lucida.to
  4. Select Master or HiFi quality
  5. Download
Tip

Tidal sometimes has exclusive masters (MQA or Dolby Atmos) that differ from the Amazon Music version. Worth cross-checking for releases you care about.
